Does it have to be over dinner?
All our stories are set at an event/location and do involve a meal. This can be a 3 course, 2 course or even a buffet.
Do I need to dress up?
We want the guests to feel at ease so whatever is most comfortable for you, that being said many guests do tend to dress up in the style and period of the story.
Will I be given a character?
You won’t be given a specific character that will be integrated into the story but if you want to be Lord Dave of Devon or Princess Priscilla of Peru then the performers will absolutely play along.
Is it incredibly serious?
No, all our stories have a very healthy dose of humour and innuendo. Yes there is a deduction element to the stories but we want the guests to have a ball with these characters and leave having laughed a lot.
Are children welcome?
We have had children at the events and we can adjust the level of humour accordingly. The shows are written with adults in mind but we aim to make the evening memorable for all who attend.
How much is it to book you?
Prices start from £595 but as every event is different we recommend contacting the team for a quote which will take into account distance, how many guests you have and how many actors will be required for the event.
Also be on the lookout as Cheeky Reaper offers summer specials starting from £500.
Do you sell tickets?
Although we don’t handle tickets personally we are always happy to advise where to book tickets for an event. We are investigating the feasibility of offering a ticketing service in the future.
Do I have to find my own venue?
We understand that finding the right venue can be tough and although we don’t specifically offer a service we are more than happy to make suggestions of places we are familiar with.
Is there a minimum/maximum number of guests allowed?
We have performed to small groups of 4 or 5 so there really isn’t a minimum, we find that although small groups have a very different experience to large ones they interact just as much.
As for maximum there isn’t a hard set limit as we have the ability to add additional characters to the story in question. We would advise that 100 guests is towards the upper end as we like to give the guests as much attention as needed in order to convey the plot points.
Do you do discounts for charities?
Absolutely, we want to give back to the amazing people who do so much in our community. If a charity is hosting a fundraiser then we want to help them raise as much as possible by sending out a team for the lowest cost that we can.
Who chooses the story?
The venue/client chooses the story but our team are always on hand to offer recommendations on what theme would be perfect for your special evening.
Do you supply music?
Yes we do, we can bring along music and equipment for the evening as standard or if the venue has a sound system we can use that. All our stories have background music associated with them that is appropriate to the era.
Do you supply pens and paper?
Each table will have pens and a notes sheet provided so every movement and altercation can be meticulously documented. Some people write mini novels so feel free to take as many notes as you like.
Can you work in private houses?
Yes, that is entirely possible. Most of our work is in venues but we can work in other spaces. This will be dependent on a site visit to assess the feasibility.
